This week has been a great start to what will be one of the best years ever for IHS! Our wonderful teachers came back so enthusiastic and ready to move forward with the different things that we have planned for this upcoming year. This year’s motto is “promising success to accountability.” We are going to raise the bar and take things to the next level. We’re going to hold everyone accountable including ourselves, staff, and all kids. We know through accountability we will truly see success. Orientation was a total success as we welcomed our new students to IHS! Mr. Coffman and I are so happy and excited and we look forward to all the great things in store this year. Tomorrow is the day we have been waiting for! All Idabel School employees report back to work! All employees will report to the IHS cafeteria! Ruth Kelley will be there at 7:30 a.m. for employee ID pictures! Coffee and donuts will be there at 7:45 a.m., and we will begin the day at 8! Go Warriors!
All new Idabel Public School employees report tomorrow morning at 10:00 to Idabel Public Library for orientation! Lunch will follow at the Methodist Church! Go Warriors!!!
High school students will not receive letters about orientation. This is something they do in the elementary levels only! However, orientation is this Thursday beginning at 6 PM. Look forward to seeing you all there.
Cross Country is quietly preparing for competition this season. Morning runs at 6:30 will definitely test individual character. I am proud to say that our runners never disappoint. Congrats to all, and Keep Moving Forward! Go Warriors!

Mr. Coffman and I had a great meeting today with Idabel Police Chief John Martin! We discussed several important issues, including new policy, safety precautions for the IHS campus, reporting, new programs we can put on for our students to teach life lessons (operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or marijuana, texting and driving). We also discussed frequently and randomly bringing the drug dog to ensure our campus remains drug-free! Big things are in the future for Idabel, the school, and our city. Thank you, Chief Martin! We are blessed to have you serving our community!

A great night for the new class of IHS freshmen! They had an awesome meet and greet pool and pizza party where they met some of their fellow Freshman and staff of IHS. Thank you Becky Rogers Coursey for organizing and getting this together and to Linda Scott Williams for the awesome cake.

Warrior fans football season is upon us. This means it is time to purchase your reserved seating and reserved parking! You can purchase a reserved seat for the entire 2019 season for only $125 per seat. This includes all five home games and all potential home playoff games! While you’re at it you can also purchase reserved parking for only $25 a season. This will allow you to show up right before kick off and still park close. Orientation is almost here!!!! On August 8 IHS will have freshmen and new student orientation in the auditorium at 6:00 p.m. At 7:00 pm we will be handing out schedules to all returning students in the gymnasium. This is a great opportunity to meet the teachers, and get familiar with the campus!
Warrior fans we need your help in the morning! Idabel and Broken Bow cheer teams will be having a cheer off at IDABEL Walmart. This takes place in the morning at 8 am! The school with the most fans present win! Come support IHS cheer!!!
