In light of all of the complications and negative news going on in the world today I want to share some positive news for Idabel High School. This upcoming year we are offering 10 new courses. We are so excited about each and every new course. One of the courses will give students the opportunity to take even more courses because it will be an online course but in a physical classroom. For example, we can’t afford to hire a French teacher if we only have two kids who want to take French, but with this new course, they could take this particular class online. Tomorrow I will be posting a document highlighting all of the new classes. Some of the new classes are self-explanatory but on a few of the new ones I will attach a video of me further explaining what to expect from this class. Be looking for this tomorrow. Go Warriors!

Please understand that this strategy could change in the event new recommendations become available. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Go Warriors!

If students have already turned in a paper or virtual course request, they do not need to resubmit any forms. -Mr. Austin
We still have students who need to complete their enrollment for this school year. If you want to choose your own courses please complete the forms today. Otherwise, your courses will be chosen for you.
Follow the link below to access the information. Once on the Idabel High School page click on "high school enrollment application." Complete every form and submit it. Forms will be digitally sent to the high school. MAKE SURE to complete the course request specific to your grade for the 2020-21 school year.

Senior Graduation pictures are now ready! I have sent the link to every seniors email. The photographer said the following: “The downloadable images is a gift to you from Idabel Public Schools! If you wish, you are able to purchase prints directly from the photographer, click the shopping cart on each image you wish to purchase."
This was one of the best graduations I have had the pleasure to attend! I appreciate the opportunity and look forward to hopefully working for your district in the future.”
Thanks,
Kayla & Co.

P.S. I love this photo!!! Thank you so much Kayla for doing such an awesome job!~Principal Austin
Most of the rain has passed us. We have dried off all of the student's seats. Spectators may want to bring a lawn chair or a small towel because the stadium seats are still wet. Graduation will take place at 8 PM at Warrior Stadium.
Graduation is still on as scheduled. All of the rain will be cleared out by then. The coronavirus didn’t keep us down and prevent us from honoring our seniors and a little bit of rain sure won’t. No need to panic! Graduation is at 8 PM at Warrior Stadium!
Students will lineup in the student parking lot going towards the Courtyard like they do every year for Prom. They will drive through the Courtyard all the way to the front parking lot and there the valet parkers will take their car and we will announce them as guests. Parents and family who would like to take pictures park in the back and walk around to the front parking lot and take pictures by the front curb.
❤️🖤 We are doing good. So many people have helped. Only thing we still need is drinks and snacks. If people would like to put drinks in ice chest and drop off iced down that would be great. Also if you want to help but can’t get out please call a local pizza place and send a couple pizzas over tonight! Thank you so much everyone! Idabel is the best!
Vic Clay is going to help park cars. Kaelin Clay came by and helped a little bit earlier. Kelvin Johnson is here now. James and Johnna Smith are sending five pizzas. Every single bit helps. Thank you guys so much! We still need some more people to park and need snacks and help.
Junior and senior parents we need your help for the BASH tonight. Mrs. Farley has had a family emergency and we are wanting this thing to go off good for the kids. We still need drinks, snacks, and mainly help. At the moment I have one parent Becky Rogers Coursey and two kids Lauren Coursey and Caleb Sanchez here. Me and Harper are helping too. We still have a lot to do. I also would like to get another set of corn hole boards, and could use another couple of adults to help with parking cars tonight. I will be here until the time this starts I’m sure. Please come by as soon as you can. Thanks to the parents that have already came by and brought donations and snacks. Julie Dawson Rachel G. Surratt
SENIORS READ AND SHARE WITH CLASSMATES: Tomorrow morning at 9 AM is MANDATORY Graduation practice. To participate in the ceremony you have to come to graduation practices. You also have to meet dress code. This is a formal event and a privilege to participate in.
It’s an exciting day at Idabel High School. At 1 PM today we will be having the seniors award assembly and slideshow. Baccalaureate services will take place tonight at 7 PM at Warrior stadium. Please join us and remember to practice social distancing the best we can. Anyone who feels more comfortable wearing mask please do. Tonight I encourage everyone to bring a lawn chair so that we can spread out at the stadium. Concession will be provided tonight by Idabel band boosters. Go Warriors!
We have some awesome kids!!! Today this group is working to beautify the courtyard at IHS in preparation for “Senior Reunion Week.” Thank you all for being awesome!!! Jake Dawson and Bethany Farley are not in the picture but they are helping too!
Freshman and sophomore’s come get your $25 gift card if you participated in the smart program! They are here until 12.
