We are sold out of football tickets for Friday night. We sold out within the first hour. I have communicated with Foreman’s principal and requested more. I will know tomorrow if we have some more available. We are also working on a livestream option for people that are home. I will keep you updated on that too.

I am so excited to share our first image from our new media class. This digital flyer was created by IHS student, Michelle Martinez! Great work Michelle and instructor, Coach Denton!

Reminder that Friday night’s football tickets go on sale tomorrow morning at 8 AM. I will be sitting by the front entrance (south)of the high school. We don’t have very many tickets and once they are gone that will be all. There will be a two ticket limit for each buyer.

Friday night our football team travels to Foreman, Arkansas for the first game of the year. The principal of Foreman reached out to me to let me know the guidelines that their Activity Association has set for all Arkansas Schools this upcoming year. As expected they will be following the mandating guidelines from their State. First of all, there will be no band allowed. Cheerleading teams, dance teams, and pep teams are also not allowed on the field/sideline or to participate in any type of cheering/dancing activity. They have to limit spectators to 66% capacity. Face coverings are required for all people ages 10 and up, and social distancing must be maintained.
With that being said, Idabel was given 150 tickets to pre-sale. You must have a ticket or a pass to enter the game. Our first priority is our football team and their immediate family. Coach Pratt is giving every football player the option to purchase two tickets. They must do this by tomorrow. The remainder of the tickets will go on sale at 8:00 AM Thursday morning. You must come to Idabel High School and purchase your ticket. There will be a two-ticket maximum for each person that comes. We will be selling these on a first come first serve basis until all tickets are gone. I WILL NOT hold any tickets or reserve any tickets for anyone. You can not call and get tickets. You must come in person starting at 8 am and purchase your tickets.
I am very sorry that this is happening. This is Arkansas State Law and I do respect Foreman for following their law. I can tell you none of this was our idea we are just selling tickets. I am going to the game early in hopes there will be some leftover tickets and I will post on our school page if there is. Also, our next game is at home and there will be no limitations or mandates at Idabel. Our games will be live on 96.7. Thank you for understanding and at least our kids are getting to play football. Go Warriors!!!

Day 1 of virtual school is coming to an end. I hope everyone had a great day. Please remember that you must check in to all classes daily by 3 PM this week. Also remember to check in with your advisement teacher so that you can be counted towards attendance. If you have any questions or problems your advisement teacher is your go to person. I look forward to day two tomorrow.
Chad Austin, Principal
I know there are some questions about tomorrow. This information is specific to Idabel High School. School starts virtually tomorrow for all students. All students will attend this week virtually only. There are not any specific check-in times for high school classes tomorrow. Next week will begin in-person classes, at which time students who have chosen to be fully virtual will check into their classes on time. Every high school student should have a device by now and should know how to operate Google Classroom. Teachers have already added students to Google Classroom according to their schedule (students new to the district may receive an email initially). High school students will need to check in with their advisement teacher for attendance tomorrow before 3 PM. They will also need to complete any tasks requested by their classroom teachers tomorrow as well. Expect ice breakers, benchmark testing, review, short writing assignments, and getting to know each other activities to take place this week. If you have any questions, please call the Idabel High School office in the morning. Every site within our district may operate a little bit differently, so again this is information specific to Idabel High School.
Go Warriors!!!
