Dear Parents, Students, and Community Members,
As you may be aware, Idabel has been chosen as the host site for the Regional Basketball Tournament, a prestigious honor reflecting the exceptional performance of both our Girls and Boys Teams this year. I encourage each of you to join us in supporting our teams as they strive for victory on their journey to the state tournament. As we approach this exciting event for our community, I wanted to provide some clarification and direction regarding our plans for Friday, February 23rd.
We will have In-Person School on Friday morning. All classes will convene during the morning hours for in-person instruction at the regular start time for each campus. Morning bus routes will run as normal.
However, we will have Virtual School in the Afternoon. Google Classroom assignments will be assigned for the afternoon hours, accompanied by avenues for student-teacher communication. Teachers will be available on campus during regular school hours to respond to questions students may have as they work on their assignments. Principals will provide guidance on attendance procedures for the afternoon virtual session.
There are some changes to the breakfast and lunch schedules. Breakfast will be served as usual in the morning at every campus; however, there will be no second breakfast at the high school. However, lunch times will be adjusted. Your principals will provide specific directions regarding lunch schedules for each building.
Dismissal bus routes will begin at 11:15 a.m. It is estimated that it will take approximately 15 minutes for all bus routes to complete their designated pick up of students at each campus before beginning the route to take the students to their normal afternoon bus stops. School dismissal is scheduled for 11:30 a.m., with the aim of ensuring that all individuals are off the campuses before 11:45 a.m. Principals will provide detailed guidance concerning car rider arrangements and individual departure procedures from the campuses.
If you have any additional questions or require further clarification, I encourage you to reach out to your respective principals. They will be more than happy to assist you and address any concerns you may have.
In conclusion, I want to express my sincere appreciation for your continued support and cooperation as we prepare for this exciting event. Let us come together as a community to cheer on our talented Warriors and Lady Warriors and celebrate their achievements.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Dr. Alan Bryant
