
Idabel Central’s Second and Third Grade Spelling Bee Champion is Emerson McElroy. First Runner-up is Saul Gil.



Idabel Central’s counselor, Krista Sain and fourth grade teacher, Karen Pond were awarded EZ Mart grants to assist with enhancements for student achievement and learning.


Central students celebrated reaching Accelerated Reading goals. Students received awards and several were selected to “pie” a teacher.

Central fundraiser is in! Parents may pick items up anytime beginning today. Small orders will be sent home with students today! Please begin deliveries as soon as possible!

Due do possible inclement weather, we have a change in the date of our Character Counts Carnival from Oct. 27 to Tues., Oct. 31st. This Friday we will wear red and black. Go Warriors!

Red Ribbon Week Activities


Little Warrior Basketball will not practice this week or have games this Saturday. Practice will resume next Monday.

Idabel Central Elementary has been able to explore artifacts from the 1930s, Dust Bowl, and Great Depression era, from the Oklahoma History Center with the help of their Traveling Trunks.



Idabel Central Elementary started a new attendance and discipline initiative for the 2017 - 2018 school year for grades second through fifth. These students will have a small monthly party. A drawing will be held each month and a student from each category will receive a prize. The prize for the month of September was a Joe Bot Robot. September winners are Eduardo Tirado recognized for no absences and Jalen Golston recognized for no discipline reports. At the end of the school year, students with no discipline reports and/or no absences will have a pizza party. Each month all names will be collected for a super drawing at the end of the year. End of the year winners will receive a bicycle. Central is excited to initiate this program in an effort to improve attendance and behavior as we "Prepare Champions for Life"!
