Idabel Public Schools’ Technology program is continuing to expand and influence students, staff and parents on the importance of students having access to the latest educational tools available.
High school and middle school students are utilizing the Chromebooks on a regular basis as demonstrated at a recent board meeting by two IMS 8th graders.
Due to new testing requirements Central Elementary students will be converting to Chromebooks from the iPads. New State testing format is more compatible with the Chromebooks. This will allow us to move iPads down to the lower grades and begin an annual device replacement strategy.
IPS Technology Team presented recently at the Oklahoma Technology Association’s conference with great success. We are currently researching possibilities of providing internet access to students at home with mobile hotspots or even building towers to broadcast LTE signal within District boundaries.
